About
The annual NHSScotland Event provides the opportunity for individuals working in, and with, NHSScotland to consider and discuss some of the important challenges and opportunities for health now and in the future.
The theme of this year's event 'Making Quality Count' will be aligned to the ambitions and aims of the new NHSScotland Quality Strategy.
The Quality Strategy, which will build on the firm foundations already in place across NHSScotland, will see a shared approach to delivering consistently high quality, reliable and responsive healthcare for everyone, which is measurable. It will also reflect the shared ambitions of everyone in Scotland – whether a patient, a carer, or an employee of NHSScotland to make our NHS the best it can possibly be. The Quality Strategy is centred around the Institute of Medicine’s six dimensions of healthcare quality – safe, effective, person-centred, efficient, effective and timely.
The 2010 NHSScotland Event presents an opportunity to share, discuss, learn and hear about different developments in quality healthcare and how these all link with the Quality Strategy.
