The annual NHSScotland Event is one of the leading health events in Scotland. It provides those who work in and with NHSScotland with the chance to consider and discuss some of the important challenges and opportunities for health now and in the future.
Call for poster abstracts now open
There will be a poster exhibition running alongside the main event and exhibition. The call for posters guide provides details of the poster categories and how to submit a poster. Poster abstracts should be submitted online between 25 February and 30 April 2010. Entries will be shortlisted and around 120 successful abstracts will be invited to display a poster at the event.
The successful abstracts will be judged at the event. There will be a winner in each category and they will be presented with a trophy and a small prize.

Programme for 2010
The intention to have a new NHSScotland Quality Strategy was announced at the 2009 Event, and since that time a draft Quality Strategy has been developed and shared with all NHS Boards.
The Quality Strategy builds on the firm foundations already in place across NHSScotland, working with everyone in NHSScotland to develop a shared approach to delivering consistently high quality, reliable and responsive healthcare for everyone, which is measurable.
It also reflects the shared ambitions of everyone in Scotland whether a patient, a carer, or an employee of NHSScotland to make our NHS the best it can possibly be. The Quality Strategy is centred around the Institute of Medicine’s six dimensions of healthcare quality – safe, effective, person-centred, efficient, effective and timely.
The 2010 NHSScotland Event presents an opportunity to share, discuss, learn and hear about different developments in quality healthcare and how these all link with the Quality Strategy. More informationabout the NHSScotland Quality Strategy.
Hear from high profile speakers
The 2010 event programme will feature a number of high profile keynote speakers who will examine the recent thinking in quality and health improvement and provide thought provoking and challenging material.
