The following information will help you plan your visit to the EICC.
Venue
Situated at the heart of Scotland’s historic capital city, the EICC is one of the world’s outstanding venues for conferences, conventions and exhibitions.
The EICC is owned by the City of Edinburgh Council and operates as an independent commercial venture.
Since opening in 1995, the EICC has welcomed more than 800,000 delegates to more than 2,100 events, generating £245m for the city.

Travelling to the EICC
The EICC is located in the centre of Edinburgh. It is just a short walk from Princes Street, Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile and it has great air, road and public transport links. The main entrance to the EICC is on Morrison Street.

By train
The mainline rail network serves the centre of Edinburgh via two railway stations. Edinburgh Waverley (main station) is situated at the east end of Princes Street, and Haymarket Station which is closest to the EICC is at the west end of the city. A taxi from Haymarket to the EICC will cost approximately £5 and from Waverley approximately £7. Journey times can be up to 5-10 minutes depending on the time of day.

By car
There are many car parks in close walking distance to the EICC, however car parking in the area is expensive. Public transport to the EICC is recommended.

Lothian Buses operates the majority of bus services in Edinburgh and the sorrounding areas of Midlothian and East Lothian. The company also operates Night Bus routes giving 24-hour service provision to many parts of the city.

It’s around six miles in a taxi from Edinburgh Airport to the EICC
The Flybybus service from the airport operates a 24 hour service into the city.

Meeting Information
The main meeting will take place in the Pentland Room. A Delegate Guide which includes the programme and information about the event will be supplied to all delegates on arrival.
Event Registration
The event registration desk will be located in the main foyer (Strathblane room).
Parallel Sessions and Masterclasses
A range of parallel sessions and masterclasses will be held over the two days. The delegate guide will contain information about all sessions and will detail the rooms where each session is being held. The back of your name badge lists the sessions you have registered for.
Exhibition
The event exhibition will be held in the Cromdale and Strathblane rooms. An Experience Zone which will offer a range of presentations, launches and webcasts and a NHS Zone where the Special NHS Boards will be exhibiting will also be held in the Strathblane room. Please take the time to visit all the exhibition stands and zones at conference breaks and at lunchtime.
Poster Display
Poster Boards will be displayed in the Cromdale and Strathblane rooms. These will be manned in the conference breaks and at lunchtime. Please take the time to visit the poster exhibition at conference breaks and at lunchtime.
Internet Access
The EICC has a business centre where delegates can pay to use the internet. Wi-fi is also available at an additional charge.
Accessibility
