Pennie Taylor, Chair
Pennie Taylor is a journalist, broadcaster, and NHS communications specialist. She has a particular interest in developing innovative approaches to staff and public engagement in the health service in Scotland, and using communications to support positive service change.
As well as a long track record as an award-winning health correspondent for quality newspapers and BBC Scotland, from 2000 to 2002 Pennie was Head of Communications for the-then NHS Lothian University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Since striking out as a Glasgow-based freelance, Pennie has led a variety of information and public engagement projects for NHS organisations across Scotland. In 2004, she facilitated the public debates held by the Kerr Group, which informed the development of a new blueprint for the NHS in Scotland and the following year she chaired the public consultation on redrawing NHS boundaries in Argyll & Clyde.
